Server boot troubleshooting

Diagnose a BONZTEL server that does not complete POST.

Steps

  1. Open the BMC event log and note any CPU, memory, power, or RAID events.
  2. Confirm both redundant PSUs are receiving input power.
  3. For multi-socket systems, verify memory population follows the channel map for both CPUs.
  4. Check RAID controller status and drive LEDs.
  5. Boot with the minimum CPU, memory, and accelerator configuration if POST still fails.
